About The Cocktail
Tallowwood
Stranahan’s Original notes of cinnamon-butter, vanilla, chocolate makes me want to throw a party. So we added chocolate, coconut, pineapple and whiskey together. Then as a party favor, fat washed the entire cocktail with beef tallow to enhance the savory and warm aspects of the whiskey. The entire drink is wrapped together with the smoked pineapple garnish.
- 2 oz Stranahan’s Original
- .5 oz Pineapple Amaro
- .25 oz Creme de Cacao
- .25 oz Menta
- 1 dash Absinthe
- 1 tbsp Beef Tallow
- Garnish: Smoked Pineapple Slice

The competition begins with 11 contestants, an online public vote narrows it down to the top six finalists.
The top 6 bartenders with the most votes will compete live at Stranahan’s Distillery on November 14th. Sample cocktails from the city’s best bartenders and cast your vote to crown the Barrel Royale Champion!
